Rare, iconic, beautiful design work by Master Ferdinando Meccani, designed in 1978 and created by the Meccani Arredamenti Company, Cascina (Pisa), Italy.
It is a unique piece in the essences of maple and oak; the sideboard has four doors with internal shelves and eight drawers.
A perfect square with a carved design in the center rotated by 45°: Design and Sculpture meet.
The central part of the furniture is dug as from a sculpture obtained "by lifting" from a block of marble.
Geometry, symmetry and perspective.
Together with the Corinthian table, one of the most important works of Italian design of the 20th century.
